Also for question: "Spring MVC scalability is higher than JSF 2"

take a look at these detailed benchmarks made by Leonardo Uribe from MyFaces team:

where Spring MVC with pure JSP "wins" in Throughput and response time but "looses" when using it with some template engine like Thymeleaf (which is quite common)
