After one year Eclipse's abstinence, I had to close netbeans and use eclipse :-) 📎
I encountered a small problem - Netbeans 5.5/6 does not support a "plain" project just as a simple folder, you have to decide whether it is a web, java, java ee etc. application. I only needed a project as "folder" to manage the html pages - without deployment capabilities, third party libraries and build capabilities. In eclipse there is no problem, you can just use a "project" without a builder. I played around with eclipse europa which is nice, but not a huge improvement over callisto (which I use now in some projects).
The support for "plain project" in netbeans would be also interesting for managing the documentation in subversion/cvs in a separate project. Now I have to use tortoise to do it outside the netbeans workspace. After completing the task I switched over to netbeans - I was to lazy to install SQL-Explorer/Quantum DB, WTP, DTP, TPTP, Dali, Omondo/My Eclipse (UML-Support) Glassfish-Support, JBoss-IDE etc. :-)
