Comments:

Adam, what's the difference between this book - which sounds very interesting - and your German book on JEE 5?

Hi Claus,

thanks for your interests!

The "Rethinking Best Practices" book describes new approaches and patterns having Java EE 5 / Java EE 6. Generic JCA connectors, Singletons, Thread Trackers, etc are covered as well.

The German Java EE 5 book is explanation of the J2EE patterns from the Java EE 5 perspective. It is a continuation of the J2EE-patterns.

"Rethinking Best Practices" is totally independent of the others. There are some intersections like e.g. Facades - some concepts remain the same, even in case the platform changes...

thanks again for asking!,
