Sun And Oracle To Announce FlashFire

On Tuesday, Oracle and Sun will announce together FlashFire. Whatever it is - the name sounds good. My guess: ZFS with SSD and well integrated Oracle DB. Who said Oracle isn't interested on hardware? I guess after this announcement you will see the first posts pre-assuming, that Oracle is no more interested on Sun's software :-).

Web Apps, SPA, PWA with vanilla Java Script (ES 6+), CSS 3 and WebStandards only. As simple as possible, but not simpler. See you at: (Progressive) Web apps, Single Page Apps and WebStandards airhacks workshops at MUC airport, Winter Edition the podcast:

Stay in touch:

I would have called it FlashGordon.

Well, if you look at this:
one should assume Oracle is interested only in infrastructural software, so I wonder where all the great open-source initiatives like Netbeans, Glassfish and Open-ESB are going...
