Useful NetBeans Shortcuts--Show Clipboard History

NetBeans comes with a clipboard history built-in. The key combination shift+command+d (Mac) opens an inline dialog and allows you to pick a previously copied element. You can copy multiple elements and choose one from the stack later.

This approach speeds up considerably the efficient copy-paste based reuse :-).

See you at Java EE Workshops at MUC Airport!

Comments:

What version of NetBeans are you using? What is the name of the action that the shortcut is attached too.

You can find plugins with the same functionality for NetBeans 6.9 [1] or later [2] .

That's a nice feature! But I'd rather use a consistent tool throughout my operating system and not have to remember different shortcuts for each application. :-)
For Windows I'd recommend CLCL (rather old and not under active development anymore, but super lean and still working with newest OS versions).

In windows I use Ditto. Quite useful when you have to switch between applications and want to keep all the history.
