XP Programming Conferences Seem To Be Real Fun
I got a Call For Papers for a German XP Conference including the following terms:
- Kaizen,
- Games,
- Fishbowl,
- Dojo / Randori,
- P E C H A K U C H A,
- Elevator Pitch
I don't know what they all mean - but I will start to use them in meetings. See what happens. E.g.: You thought already about Randori? What's your Dojo? Is our Pecha Kucha still o.k.? Should we apply the FishBowl pattern for this case?
Will have to extend the "How To Be A Java Guru" post :-).

Fishbowl is the starter. For the main course, you can choose between Dojo and Randori (that comes with rice, I guess).
Be careful with pecha kucha, it's rather heavy.

...and what's about Kaizen? Btw. I found the definition. Thats actually interesting :

DOJO: damn old java object (POJO compiled against java 1.1)
I've heard the easiest way to get fired is to mention the german term for "killer games" in political meetings. (its like saying "btw, I am a terrorist" in a meeting).
So better don't mention games in XP meetings ;)
