Java EE 8 to Jakarta EE 8 Migration 📎

To migrate a Java EE 8 project to Jakarta EE 8, replace the following dependency:

<dependency>
    <groupId>javax</groupId>
    <artifactId>javaee-api</artifactId>
    <version>8.0</version>
    <scope>provided</scope>
</dependency>

...with Jakarta EE 8 API

<dependency>
    <groupId>jakarta.platform</groupId>
    <artifactId>jakarta.jakartaee-api</artifactId>
    <version>8.0.0</version>
    <scope>provided</scope>
</dependency>

The resulting ThinWAR is pom:

<project>
    <modelVersion>4.0.0</modelVersion>
    <groupId>com.airhacks</groupId>
    <artifactId>jakarta</artifactId>
    <version>0.0.1</version>
    <packaging>war</packaging>
    <dependencies>
        <dependency>
            <groupId>jakarta.platform</groupId>
            <artifactId>jakarta.jakartaee-api</artifactId>
            <version>8.0.0</version>
            <scope>provided</scope>
        </dependency>
    </dependencies>
    <build>
        <finalName>jakarta</finalName>
    </build>
    <properties>
        <maven.compiler.source>1.8</maven.compiler.source>
        <maven.compiler.target>1.8</maven.compiler.target>
        <failOnMissingWebXml>false</failOnMissingWebXml>
    </properties>
</project>

...can be conveniently build with wad.sh and deployed to all Java EE 8 and Jakarta EE 8 runtimes.
